MINGORA: The Counter-Terrorism Department Malakand region personnel on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a commander of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an action in the Buner district.
Official sources said that the arrested TTP commander identified as Hussain Ali alias Abdullah was aligned with the Swat Taliban and was wanted for attacks on the police and other law-enforcement agencies.
The militant commander carried head money of Rs3 million. Hand-grenades and weapons were recovered from him.
