ATM skimmer arrested

LAHORE : The FIA has arrested a man from Gujranwala over the charges of the ATM skimming fraud. The agency has seized a skimming device, blank cards, a magnetic strip reader and other devices from the possession of the accused. It has learnt that a gang of two persons managed to install a skimming device at the main branch of National Bank Multan and minted Rs5 million. One gang member namely Imran Chadhar has been arrested while raids are taking place for the arrest of other accused.

accidents: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 893 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, four people died, whereas 950 were injured. Out of this, 551 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 399 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.

firing training: Around 33 personnel of Security Division and Mujahid Squad were given firing training in District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Wednesday.

During the practice, rounds of pistol, semi-automatic and SMG guns were fired. This year, 4,250 personnel of different wings of Lahore Police had been trained.

Shrine security: DIG Operations Lahore visited Bibi Pak Daman shrine on Wednesday.

He was given a briefing about security of the shrine, installation of CCTV cameras, walk-through gates, checking mechanism of participants, parking and other arrangements. DIG also met the shrine organisers and inquired about the security provided there. He ordered the police officers concerned to make the security of the visitors foolproof.

Boy TRACED: Garhi Shahu Investigation police traced a 12-year old boy and handed over to his parents. The accused Tahir had lured the child Zafar Ali to his house to commit unnatural offence with him.

Woman stabbed: A 30-year old woman was stabbed to death in Babu Sabu Sherakot on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Rani Bibi. The body was shifted to the morgue.
