PESHAWAR: Thick clouds hovering over the provincial capital turned the weather pleasant on Tuesday, providing relief to the residents from the scorching heat.
The people in the provincial metropolis enjoyed the pleasant weather since Monday night and on Tuesday. The cloudy weather brought the temperature down as well.
There were reports of rain from other parts of the province. Weather pundits predicted rain in different areas of the KP and other parts of the country today (Wednesday).
According to Meteorological Department, Balakot in KP received the highest amount of rain 53 millimetres during the 24 hours ending Tuesday evening followed by Saidu Sharif with 32, Malam Jabba 14, Lower Dir 11, Upper Dir 02, Kakul 07, Pattan and Takht Bhai 04, Kalaam 03, Parachinar and Bannu 02 millimetres of rain.
The Met Office forecast said rain was expected in different parts of KP besides Punjab, Kashmir, Sindh, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan today.
