ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Rehman Malik has said India stands exposed while playing a triple game with the United States, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Taliban.
He said while talking exclusively to the scribe Monday. He said India was consistently attending conferences uninvited in Turkey, Russia. Germany, Doha as observers.
“India did not stop its dirty game which contained to play by meeting hardcore Taliban in Doha followed by Dubai and at an undisclosed place in Afghanistan,” he said.
Mr Malik said he had always said India was playing a dirty game by trying to win over Taliban with view to getting pro-Taliban government in Kabul to use against Pakistan and China.
He said consistence shown by the Pakistan government, intellectuals and analysts played a major role to expose India and its dirty agenda.
“Supply of arms to the Afghan government in Kandahar was duly exposed by Taliban and let us see how Kandaharris and Haqqani network react to it,” he said.
The former minister said it was strange how India could use Pakistan’s air space to fly to Afghanistan which is a sheer violation.
He said demanded Pakistan take up this with India and also agitate with the United Nations against the violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and the Warsaw Pact.
He also appealed the government to try and gather all the warring factions and Afghan government on one table with a one point agenda to convince them for a short-term interim government to avoid a civil war and bloodshed that could happen anytime.
He said south Asia was sitting on a volcano because of the US-China cold war which is visible in South Asia and Pakistan must not forget that there is a troika’s deep understanding of the US and India.
“It is a matter of record that America is watching over China through its recently launched satellite under the grab of a weather detector.”
Mr Malik said the United States had never demanded the air base(s) from Pakistan, as it does need for the time-being air bases due to its latest technology.
“Obviously Pakistan will not allow use of its soil against China. If it wants to use Pakistan bases, why did it leave the Bagram Airbase whereas the US has more sophisticated airports in Tajikistan,” he said. Moreover, he said the US got warships with landing and take-off facilities for fighter jets.
