Bara Siyasi Ittehad demands solution to problems
BARA: Office-bearers of Bara Siyasi Ittehad on Sunday asked the government to solve the problems faced by local residents.
In this connection, a meeting was held with Shah Faisal Afridi in the chair at Bara Press Club and attended by leaders of various political parties and social workers belonging to Bara.
The participants asked the government to solve the Shahzeb Afridi murder case, reopen crush plants in Shalobar area, stop raids of Peshawar Police in Bara, start survey of affected houses and release cheques as compensation for terrorism damages and fix the gate in Hayatabad wall between Peshawar and Khyber districts.
The speakers also raised the issue of Zakat committees and the formation of the committees in consultation with the Bara Siyasi Ittehad and the Qaumi Councils to ensure equitable distribution of Zakat funds. They also objected to the closure of the main road in front of Bara Police Station, and gave a two-day deadline to the administration to reopen it, otherwise they would take action on their own.
