ABBOTTABAD: Provincial Minister for Industries Abdul Karim Khan on Sunday said that interest-free loans were being provided to the youths to launch businesses according to their skills and talents.
Speaking as chief guest at the concluding ceremony of three-day National Youth Leadership Conference 2021 here, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had taken a number of steps for creating a conducive environment for boosting businesses and skill development to enable youths to stand on their own feet.
The Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Directorate of Youth Affairs and National Youth Assembly had jointly organised the conference. A large number of youths from across the country participated in the conference and shared their ideas about businesses and skill development. The youths were also apprised of the steps taken for promotion of tourism, Billion Tree Tsunami, interest-free loan for businesses, industry and others.
“Youths are our asset and we are doing our best to provide them every opportunity to explore their skills and talents,” the minister said, adding that the PTI-led government attached great importance to the youths and arranged a number of productive activities for them.
The participants later visited the Tourist Information Centre, Abbottabad, where they briefed about the scenic places in Hazara Division and facilities being provided to the tourists.
