GHALLANAI: Flash Floods caused by heavy rain and windstorm swept away 90 cattle, destroyed vegetables and uprooted a number of trees in Shamshah area in Baizai tehsil in Mohmand tribal district, locals said on Thursday. They said that six rooms of mud-thatched houses also collapsed, while the solar system was damaged, pushing the area into darkness. The residents said that floods washed away 80 goats and 10 cows as well. Activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and elders, including Hanzala, Saeedullah, Haider Khan, Muhammad Rahim, Mir Zaman and others told reporters that floods had wreaked havoc in the Shamshah area but no official of district administration or lawmaker visited the area to inquire after their condition.
