ISLAMABAD: Noor Zaman Thursday accounted for experienced Ahsan Ayaz in a five-game thriller in the $1,000 PSA Satellite Tournament to express himself in a big way at domestic circuit event that got underway here at the Mushaf Ali Mir Complex.
Under-19 player Noor played brilliant squash to beat Ahsan 12-10, 8-11, 11-4, 4-11, 11-5 to make it to the semi-finals. The quarter-finals between the two lasted for 60 minutes.
Noor will now take on Faraz Muhammad in the semi-finals today (Friday) followed by the final late evening. Faraz Muhammad beat Abdul Saeed 11-4, 11-4, 11-6 in the quarter-finals. The second semi-final will see Hamza Sharif taking on Farhan Hashmi.
