A few weeks ago, a viral video showed how two pet dogs attacked an older man in Karachi’s posh neighbourhood. The dogs’ handler also failed to control them. It is quite common to see pet dogs in public parks. While there is nothing wrong in that, many times these pet dogs are handled by children. When a dog chases joggers (which is quite common), the children fail to handle their pet. Pet owners need to show some responsibility when they’re out, especially in crowded public places like parks.
The authorities concerned should ask pet owners to take precautionary measures when they’re out with their dogs. These owners must be penalised in case of any accident.
