Local cueists dominate Sindh Cup Snooker Championship
KARACHI: The local cueists, as expected, dominated the proceedings in the 29th Sindh Cup Snooker Championship 2020-21 being played here at the Legends Snooker Club.
According to the details shared by the Sindh Billiard & Snooker Association (SBSA), Umar Memon of Hyderabad was the lone outstation cueist to register a win on Wednesday as he defeated namesake Umar Mushtaq of Karachi 4-1.
Abdul Sattar was the only cueist to compile a century break during the day’s proceedings as he fired one of 111 in the opening frame to tame Muhammad Yousuf 4-1.
Sohail Shahzad, another experienced cueist, fired three half century breaks during his 4-1 victory over Rizwan Abbas. Sultan Muhammad, seeking re-entry in the mainstream circuit, also notched up three breaks in the excess of 50 while routing Ali Hamza by 4-1.
