Two more COVID-19 patients die in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: Two more COVID-19 patients died in Faisalabad on Monday. According to a spokesperson for the health department, the COVID-19 death toll rose to 1,144 in the district and no person tested positive for coronavirus during the last 24 hours.
He said 669 people were tested for coronavirus in public and private sector hospitals during the same period. He said so far 20,424 patients had recovered from the infections while total active cases in Faisalabad reached 153. He said 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ hospital and 150 at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad for COVID-19 patients.
At present, 37 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital, while 9 at DHQ Hospital and four were admitted to General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad. Moreover 104 people have quarantined at their homes.
DC for organising parking system: The standard of services of Faisalabad Parking Company should be made in line with the public expectations. In this regard, the scope of parking card system should be expanded.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali stated this while presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors of Faisalabad Parking Company. He said the parking system should be organized and integrated according to the needs of citizens.
He said a survey should be conducted to set up new parking points in the city to provide easy and safe parking for citizens. He said that the purpose of setting up the company was to provide good service to the citizens so that they would not have to worry about the safety of their vehicles besides parking in markets and other public places in an orderly manner
Administrative and financial matters, including approval of the annual budget of the company were also discussed during the meeting. Additional Deputy Commissioner General/MD Company Khurram Pervez and HR Manager Amir Zeeshan, other members of the Board of Directors were also present.
2,728 MORE VACCINATED: Some 2,728 more people were administered coronavirus vaccine doses at 34 centres and one mobile camp in the district on Monday. Some 2,471 general public were given first dose of vaccine while 232 were given the second one, 19 health workers were given first dose and six were the second one.
According to District Health Officer Dr. Ata ul Moenum 572,577 people have been vaccinated so far.
FINE IMPOSED ON SHOPKEEPERS OVER VIOLATION OF CORONA SOPS: Shopkeepers and transport owners were imposed Rs 15,000 fine for violating coronavirus SOPs on Monday.
During the last 113 days, 2,253 shopping malls and plazas, restaurants, wedding halls, private schools, offices and bus stands were sealed and fine to the tune of Rs 4,753,500 was imposed on their owners.
SHOPKEEPERS FINED RS 83,000 FOR OVERCHARGING: Price Control Magistrates imposed Rs 83,000 fine on 57 shopkeepers for overcharging on Monday.
Price magistrates conducted 1,138 inspections to check the prices of goods, checked the sale of food items at fixed prices and imposed fines of various denominations on vendors for making unprofitable profits.
