KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday ordered constitution of a three-member investigation committee to probe the recent death of a member of the Hindu community, Do Do Bheel, at the site of Thar Coal in Islamkot, Sindh. The probe committee will launch a transparent investigation to ascertain the circumstances, which led to the death in the Thar Coal field area. The committee will comprise Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, Sindh Culture Minister Syed Sardari Ali Shah and Sindh IT Minister Taimur Talpur. The probe committee will submit its report in three days.
The chief minister also separately asked the Inspector General of Sindh Police to order the DIG Hyderabad to probe the incident and submit to him the investigation report within one week. The Sindh energy minister in a separate statement said the affected family would be provided justice and the bereaved family members would also be offered financial compensation.
