PESHAWAR: Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Department Shakeel Ahmed on Monday directed municipal officials of the province to increase the number of cattle markets at ideal places around the cities ahead of Eidul Azha to minimise crowds.
“Vaccination, hygiene, drinking water, security, lighting and other basic facilities besides the presence of veterinarians and effective measures for prevention of epidemic diseases including Covid19 and Ebola, should be ensured in these cattle fairs by all municipal bodies of the province,” he said while presiding over a joint meeting of all the municipal bodies and authorities of the province at the Local Government Secretariat in Peshawar.
