GUJRANWALA: The district administration has decided to set up 16 cattle markets for sacrificial animals outside the city areas. There would be ban on the sale and purchase of the animals other than the fixed points.
The cattle markets would be set up at Khiali Bypass, Alipur Chowk, Slater House, Madni Road, Qila Chand, Kamoki Ladies Park, Police Ground Kamoki, Gakhar Mandi, Karam Abad, Rasulnagar and Muafi Wala etc.
The district administration would provide water, light and other facilities in the cattle markets.
57 COPS TRANSFERRED TO POLICE LINES FOR BAD SERVICE RECORD: City Police Officer Sarfraz Ahmad Falki on Sunday transferred 57 police officers/officials to Ashraf Marth Shaheed Police Lines as punishment for bad service record.
According to a notification, the CPO transferred 14 sub-inspectors, 12 ASIs and 31 head constables/constables from different police stations of the district and transferred them to Ashraf Shaheed Police Lines for having three major punishment/criminal record. All the said police officials had been directed to leave the charge of their present posts and report at the Police Lines within 24 hours.
