FAISALABAD: The District Quality Control Board meeting was held here on Sunday.
The moot was held in the chair of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali. The medical store inspection reports of drug inspectors were reviewed in the meeting. Total 40 cases against medical stores found involved in different violations of Drug Act were examined during the meeting and hearing of pleas of medical store owners were made in this regard. After hearing, the meeting decided to refer the cases against 20 medical stores to the Drug Court. Moreover, owners of 14 medical stores were given warning and five cases were adjourned till next meeting due to not appearing of medical stores owners and one FIR was registered for serious violation of Drug Act.
DISTRICT RETAINS TOP POSITION IN ANTI-QUACKERY CAMPAIGN: The Faisalabad district retained the top position at the provincial level in also month of June while taking action against anti-quackery campaign and in individual performance.
Deputy District Health Officers of Tehsil Jaranwala and Tandlianwala Dr Kashif Mahmood and Dr Ali Muhammad remained first and second respectively in the province. According to the rankings of the Punjab Health Care Commission, 76 inspections were carried out in Faisalabad district to check the overall quacks during which challan of 75 clinics for hygienic treatment and absence of qualified doctors in medical store clinics, 63 clinics were sealed and cases were sent to Punjab Healthcare Commission.
District Health Officer Dr Ataul Moenum said that in individual performance, DDHO Jaranwala Tehsil challaned 20 clinics and sealed while DDHO Tandlianwala challaned 20 clinics and 17 clinics were sealed and secured second position.
THREE MORE TEST CORONA POSITIVE: Three more people tested corona positive here on Sunday.
According to a spokesperson for the Health Department, the COVID-19 death toll reached 1,142 in the district and 1,655 tests for coronavirus were conducted in public and private sectors during the last 24 hours. He said so far, 20,411 patients had recovered from the disease while total active cases in Faisalabad reached 168. He said 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 beds at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammadabad for COVID-19 patients. At present, 35 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital and 16 at DHQ Hospital, he told. Moreover, 102 patients were in home isolation, he added.
7,234 MORE CITIZENS VACCINATED: As many as 7,234 people were vaccinated against corona at 34 centres and one mobile camp in the district on Sunday.
According to details, 7,234 general public were given first dose of vaccine while 1,345 were given second dose, five health workers were given first dose and 43 were given second dose. According to District Health Officer Dr Ataul Moenum, 569,266 people had been vaccinated so far in the district.
FINE: Shopkeepers and transporters were imposed Rs 14,500 fine over violating corona SOPs on Sunday.
According to details, 2,253 shopping malls, plazas, restaurants, wedding halls, private schools, offices and bus stands were sealed during the last 112 days.
