LAHORE: Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar laid the foundation-stone of Malik Meraj Khalid School Sunday.
Its first phase will cost around Rs250 million. Friends of Lahore will initially provide Rs50 million as donation. The governor also expressed his interest to establish a university by the name of Malik Meraj Khalid. Governor’s spouse Parveen Sarwar announced to bear all the expenses of a special block built for girls to provide them free technical skills. The governor laid the foundation-stone of Malik Meraj Khalid School in memory of ex-caretaker premier Malik Meraj Khalid on Burki Road. All the cost of this project will be borne by Governor Ch Sarwar, Gohar Ijaz, Mian Talat, Anwar A. Ghani from charitable organisation Friends of Lahore and other philanthropists.
