New book provides insight into Pakistan-India relations
Former Pakistan high commissioner to India Abdul Basit on Saturday said ‘Hostility: A Diplomat’s Diary on Pakistan-India Relations and More’ is not a memoir but a critical account of what happened between the two countries during his eventful stint in New Delhi.
He was addressing the participants of his book launch that was jointly organised by the Pakistan Council on Foreign Relations (PCFR) and the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). Speaking to veteran diplomats and corporate executives at the IoBM, Basit shared his insights into Pakistan-India relations that have always attracted global attention. Also present on the occasion were IoBM President Talib Karim, PCFR Chairman and former ambassador Shahid Amin, and PCFR Secretary General and CEO Ahsan Mukhtar Zubairi. The vote of thanks was delivered by PCFR Vice Chairman and former ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan (Sitara-i-Imtiaz).
