MINGORA: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is all set to hold a public gathering at Grassy Ground in Mingora, Swat district today (Sunday).
Talking to media at Grassy Ground, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) provincial chief Amir Maqam said the gathering was aimed at getting rid of the Pakistan Thehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He said that Imran Khan and his ruling clique had destroyed every department of the state. “This would be the biggest gathering in the history of the province as the people want change. PDM and its leadership are striving hard to relieve the public from the incompetent rulers,” Maqam said, adding that all opposition parties agreed on one-point agenda to save the country and its citizen from the current regime.
Earlier, the district administration refused to give a no-objection certificate (NOC) for the PDM gathering. In a statement issued from the district administration office, it had been stated that due to security threats and fear of Covid-19 spread, the district administration would not give NOC for the PDM gathering.
According to PDM sources, JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman, PMLN president Shahbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, QWP head Aftab Sherpao and others would address the public gathering.
