Bilawal going to US to sneak into power: Gill

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill on Saturday alleged that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) supremo Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is looking to strike a deal with the United States but will get nothing from America during his upcoming scheduled visit along with some cronies.

He was addressing a press conference in Karachi at the residence of the opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh. Gill said that Bilawal Bhutto tried to get a ‘job’ for the post of prime minister here in Pakistan and dropped his CVs and other documents everywhere but got no response since he had no capabilities and efficiency for doing anything in his short career. “Having failed to get a poor response from anywhere, Bilawal is likely to embark upon a journey to the USA for some shooting to please some people for the jobs he had been aspiring and dreaming for,” he said.

Gill said that the PPP chairman was going to the USA with the intention to get some assistance from quarters to sell their ‘conscience’ after Prime Minister Imran Khan had flatly refused the American government to allow them to use the country’s airbases. He said that immature Bilawal was going to the USA with the same documents to seek any job against the very interests of the country, adding he warned him to refrain from such acts since time had changed now to get perks through tricks.

Gill said that a self-proclaimed leader emerged out of the ‘fake’ parchi (the will of Ms. Benazir Bhutto) could not achieve to get jobs to compromise on the sovereignty of the country, adding he made it clear federal government had no plan to put his name on ECL to bar him from traveling to the USA. “We are ready to put his name in PSL to play cricket since his age requires him to play and enjoy life,” he said.

Gill claimed that the former USA Secretary of State Ms Condoleezza Rice had brokered the deal between General (R) Pervez Musharraf and Ms. Benazir Bhutto in favour of America and thus Americans were given the free hand to use the airbases and to attack Afghanistan from Pakistan. “Ms Rice had revealed in her book that after contacting both leaders time and again she finally succeeded to get the deal stricken and this they were allowed to use the airbases” he added and asked the leaders of PPP to read that book,” he said.

Gill said that after the deal was brokered between Ms Bhutto and General Musharraf on October 3, 2007, and that deal was in favour of America and against the solidarity and sovereignty of Pakistan. He said American forces after that dangerous deal had started conducting drone attacks during the tenure of both leaders. “Americans carried out 13 drone attacks during the Musharraf era while 340 drone attacks were made during the PPP rule in the country. Gill said that Ms Rice managed to get her agenda fulfilled by the Pakistani rulers. “There are strict defamation laws in America but the PPP leadership never bothered to go against her claims in her famous book,” he said.

Gill made it clear that Bilawal, unlike his predecessors, would not get any job by submitting the same or some other documents to sneak into power in Pakistan since Pakistan was now being run by a brave and selfless leader like Imran Khan.

As long as Imran Khan is Prime Minister of Pakistan no power can cast evil eyes on Pakistan, he said, adding he made it clear that newborn ‘politicians’ like Bilawal would get only insult and humiliation for conspiring against the country at very critical times. He said that Bilawal should try to do some other job instead of playing in the hands of those, who had always acted against the sovereignty and solidarity, adding he warned him that if he did not refrain from such dirty moves, he would be repenting for his grave mistakes.

Gill said that Imran Khan just wanted to bring the country on path and progress and prosperity and was doing wonders at the international level by making bold decisions. He said that after creating a great mess for their massive corrupt practices, the PPP leaders did not allow Sheikh, who is the opposition leader, to speak during the concluding budget session in Sindh Assembly. He said that the brave PTI leader like Sheikh had clean hands and he was ready to face any inquiry and was not afraid of the threat of PPP rulers in Sindh.

Gill said that PPP rulers this time would not be given the cash money of the public funds but they would look after every project and scheme. He asked Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani to stop issuing baseless statements against the NAB. He made it clear that they were not thinking of imposing the governor’s rule in Sindh, adding he warned them to mend their ways and do something for health and other issues instead of going to the USA for ‘boot polishing in licking’.

Meanwhile, Sindh Law and Environment Adviser, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, while responding to the statement of Prime Minister’s aide Dr Shahbaz Gill, said that Dr Gill made a failed attempt to increase his political stature by issuing statement on PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

“Shahbaz Gill has no guilt of his own as PTI is synonymous with uncivilised behaviour as the entire world knows that the PTI’s people have nothing to do with culture and civilisation,” said Barrister Murtaza Wahab who also acts as spokesman for Sindh government.

He said the people of the country knew that the PTI had promoted the use of abusive language, uncivilised conduct, and practising intolerance in politics. “Everybody in the country knows as what his (Dr Gill’s) party has recently done in Parliament,” he said.

He said that attempts were being made to disgrace Parliament since the time the present selected rulers had come into power. “But these rented politicians should better know that they will never be successful in their vicious attempts,” Sindh law adviser said. He alleged that people like Dr Shahbaz Gill were used to run away whenever their assignment was finished for which their services had been hired.

“Shahbaz Gill’s identity is that he does press conference while sitting alongside people like Haleem Adil Shaikh,” Murtaza Wahab.

He said the people associated with the PTI were often involved in illegal possession of land belonging to poor people, orphans, and widows. “The day will soon come when Shahbaz Gill would reach the foreign land after ditching the PTI,” he said.

He said the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the true reflection of the bright future of the country and was the grandson of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

He said the Pakistan People’s Party was the only political party of the country that had even sacrificed its own leadership for the sake of Pakistan and democracy.

He claimed that only PPP was capable of putting Pakistan on the path of progress and development as otherwise the present selected rulers had agonised the lives of general public in the country.
