Acid attacks on women trigger concern

PESHAWAR: Many were concerned after two women were attacked with acid in Kohat and Peshawar in the last few days.
On Friday, a woman sustained burn injuries after she was attacked with acid in the limits of the Paharipura Police Station.
Police said the cops arrested the accused identified as Farhad living at the Afghan Colony in the provincial capital.
They said the accused attacked the woman after she refused to become his friend.
A few days ago, a young woman was attacked with acid in Kohat when she was asleep in her home.
The police started an investigation as to how someone managed to break into her house and attacked her. The two incidents have caused panic among the women.
