Workshop on ethanol technology held
LAHORE: The Lallemand Specialities, Inc, acting through its business unit Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits (LBDS) and Hunza Distillery, a business unit of Hunza Group of Companies, conducted the first-ever joint international training on ethanol technology in Bhurban.
The trainings were conducted by LBDS US Senior Vice President Sales and Business Development Chris Richard, LBDS Canada Global Technical Director Robert Piggot, LBDS Scotland Global Technical Director Robert Fotheringham, and LBDS India Technical Service Manager Rajesh Mohan were the trainers. Expert speakers included Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Suleman Tahir, Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology VC Prof Dr Mehmood Saleem, Noon Sugar Mills GM Finance Rana Waseem, Yousuf Dewan Group GM Distillery Adnan Javed Pirzada, Mitiari Group GM Distillery Syed Badarudin Shah, General Manager Distillery.
Panelists acknowledged that the leadership of Hunza Group of Companies, including Chairman Idress Chaudhry, CEO Saeed Chaudhry, and Director Waheed Chaudhry had provided cutting-edge ethanol industrial content directly from stellar experts at the training.
Experts from LBDS expressed special interest in the continuation of such collaborative events and articulated their high interest in providing expertise in the betterment of Pakistan’s ethanol industry through their collaborative partner. Speakers vowed to reduce the research gap in the industrial and academic sector of Pakistan.
Hunza Group of Companies Director Operations Khawaja Mubasher Iftikhar presented the innovative vision of the group, making a clear case for an optimistic industrial outlook for 2022.
Hunza Distillery and CO2 plant GM Sheikh Muhammad Usman expressed his gratitude to techno-commercials and academics for their valuable and critical insights regarding ethanol technology.
