Young man beaten to death, another injured in Orangi Town

A young man was tortured to death and another was critically injured in the Orangi Town area on Friday. Police said they had arrested a suspect over the incident who claimed that he beat the two men up with batons as they had entered his house to rob it.

According to police, the incident took place at a house in Ittefaq Colony in Orangi Town within the limits of the Pakistan Bazaar police station. The two young men from the house were transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with critical injuries where one of them succumbed to his injuries.

Upon receiving the information, police reached the property and inquired into the incident. They said the arrested suspect, Naseem, claimed that the two men had entered his house to rob it but he caught them and beat them with a baton. The deceased person is yet to be identified while the injured person has been identified as 24-year-old Raheel. Police registered a case against Naseem on the request of Raheel’s brother. Further investigations are under way.
