S Punjab Police Office completes one year
LAHORE:A grand ceremony was organised to commemorate the one-year anniversary of establishment of South Punjab Police Office here on Friday. Additional IG of Police South Punjab Capt (retd) Zafar Iqbal Awan along with other officers and staff cut the cake on the occasion.
AIG Discipline Imran Shaukat, AIG Operations Sadiq Baloch and AIG Investigation Hassan Afzal were also present. Talking on this occasion, Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab Capt (retd) Zafar Iqbal said that South Punjab Police has achieved the milestone of exemplary public service in just one year.
The mission of providing police services to the people of South Punjab at their doorstep will continue at the same pace, he said. The Additional IG South Punjab said that every policeman in the region has an equal role to play in the success of the South Punjab Police Office.
CCPO: CCPO Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mehmood Dogar paid surprise visits to Gulberg, Ghalib Market, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate and Township police stations. He inspected front desk, barracks and cleanliness situation, checked the record of pending applications at the front desk and reviewed the affairs of the anti-car lifting office located within the limits of Gulberg police station. He reprimanded Industrial Estate Police Station SHO on non-processing of three applications against theft. He expressed anger over poor performance of Investigation Township in-charge and issued show cause notice to SHO Javed Iqbal Supra for poor performance.
