Cabinet body approves various proposals, legal amendments
LAHORE:The 66th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Business was held at Civil Secretariat and it approved many proposals.
Punjab Minister for Law and Cooperatives Raja Basharat chaired the meeting while it was attended by the Senior Member Board of Revenue, irrigation secretary, I&C secretary and other officers concerned. The meeting considered legal amendments and drafts proposed by various departments. The meeting approved the proposals and legal amendments, including an agreement between the Board of Revenue Punjab and NADRA for online verification of data for issuance of computerized national identity cards, a consultancy agreement with the World Bank to deal with natural disasters and climate change, restoration of supply of two million gallons of water daily from Rawal Dam to Capital Development Authority Islamabad, proposal to hand over lower part of Chashma Right Bank Canal from Wapda to Punjab in the light of the decision of Common Interest Council, improvement of the services regarding intercity bus stands in Punjab, amendment to Punjab Zakat and Ushr Act 2018, appointment of Bank of Punjab Board of Directors, formation of Selection Board of Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology DG Khan, constitution of Board of LWMC and PHA Sialkot establishment.
