Punjab relaxes business hours

LAHORE: Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Sara Aslam issued a notification for relaxation in different business timing here on Wednesday. This notification will be implemented from July 1 to July 31.

The secretary said all government and private organisations are allowed to work with 100 per cent staff. Whereas all pharmacies, medical stores, medical facilities and vaccination centres, petrol pumps, Tandoors, bakeries, milk, dairy shops, dairy shops, food takeaways, E-commerce, couriers, postal services (electricity, natural gas, internet, cellular networks, telecom, call centres, media), auto workshop, oil depots and all kind of markets, including grains, fruit, cattle and vegetable markets will remain open seven days a week till 10 o’clock. Pharmacies, medical stores, medical facilities and vaccination centers, petrol pumps, Tandoors, bakeries, grocery, retail stores, milk shops, sweet shops, food takeaways and e-commerce, courier, postal services and utility services (Electricity, natural gas, internet, cellular networks, telecom, call centers, media), auto-workshops, oil depots and all kind of markets will remain open 24/7 a week.

The secretary added that indoor weddings, functions are allowed to vaccinated people with maximum limit of 200 guests, outdoor weddings are allowed with 400 guests on compliance of COVID-19 SOPs. While indoor dining is allowed with 50pc occupancy to vaccinated individuals till 11:59 pm, and outdoor dining is allowed till 11:59 pm.

Secretary Sara Aslam said all gyms throughout the province are allowed to remain open only for vaccinated members. Moreover, amusement parks, swimming pools are allowed to remain open on following SOPs. There would be a complete ban on sports festivals, cultural and other events throughout the province.

Only vaccinated and above thirty aged people can visit shrines. All public transports are allowed for service with 70pc. Strict compliance to COVID-19 SOPs, wearing mask and maintaining six feet distance along vaccination are key factors of corona virus decline, she added. District administration and police are instructed to keep check on citizens on continual following corona SOPs.
