Killing case of 3 girls: Four brothers awarded death sentence

HANGU: A local court on Tuesday handed down death sentence, 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs0.5 million each to four convicts involved in the murder of three girls.

The court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge-II of Model Court, Azeemullah Mashwani, also awarded 15 years rigorous imprisonment to the mother of convicts and a fine of Rs0.6 million while another convict, who was a juvenile at the time of gory occurrence, was awarded rigorous 10 years jail term and Rs0.5 million fine.

According to prosecution, one Muhammad Akbar’s wife had left the home of her husband and started living with her parents after he divorced her.

Her three daughters and a son were left behind, who were living with their father.

It said that the convict (father) then established an illicit relationship with the elder daughter and the two younger daughters were aware of their father’s immoral activities.

The three daughters later registered a case against their father at the City Police Station after the elder one got pregnant.

Subsequently, Muhammad Akbar was arrested and sent behind bars for his immoral activities.

The prosecution told the court that he then conspired with his brothers named Khan Akbar, Noor Akbar, Israfeel and their mother Sawal Jumma and another underage boy Saud to kill all the three daughters to save his skin.

The police report said that the convicts implemented the plan of their brother. They first strangulated the three girls and then fired at them.

The police registered the first information report (FIR) under sections 302,109,114/34, 15AA, 382B, 120BPPC and collected sufficient evidence in the case and produced them in the court. After proving the case with strong evidence by the prosecution, the model court gave its verdict and awarded death sentence to Muhammad Akbar, Khan Akbar, Noor Akbar, Israfeel besides 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs0.5 million each.

Also, the court sentenced the mother of the convicts to 15 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs0.6 million.

One Saud, who was under age at the time of incident and had involvement in the gory episode, was awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs0.1 million.

The fine money would be given as compensation to the mother of the victim girls.
