Nazir-ur-Rehman, father of the slain woman, had reported to police the death of his married daughter. Later, the police arrested the husband of the slain woman and the accused confessed during interrogation to have killed his wife with an axe due to a domestic dispute.
Meanwhile, two persons were arrested and more than 2kg charas as well as “ice” drug recovered from their motorcar in Kharak area of the district. In another action, the cops busted a three-member gang that used to steal cattle from various villages.
