KASUR: Kasur police arrested 3,009 proclaimed offenders (POs) and recovered valuables worth Rs 190 million from their possession in 2015.
According to a handout released by the DPO office on Thursday, Kasur police busted 76 gangs and detained 257 most wanted accused in 2015.
The handout said the police recovered looted things, including cattle heads and stolen vehicles worth Rs 190 million and illicit weapons from accused.
It said the police registered 11,008 cases last year, adding that in 2016 Kasur police would introduce a short messaging service (SMS) for the general public to lodge their complaints.
