Girl, brother-in-law hanged for honour

GUJRANWALA: A girl and her brother-in-law were murdered for honour at Madhu Khalil on Thursday.
Anum along with her husband Irfan had been residing with her parents. In the meantime, Irfan allegedly developed relations with his sister-in-law Sana and both fled from the house some days ago. Later, they returned to the house after getting assurance that no action would be taken against them. On the day of the incident, Iqbal along with his accomplices allegedly hanged Irfan and Sana. Ladhewala Warraich police have registered a case and started investigation.
TWO INJURED ON RESISTANCE: Three dacoits looted a general store and injured two persons on resistance at Sulakhanabad.
The dacoits broke into the store and looted cash and valuables. In the meantime, Ali Raza and Maqsood offered resistance. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot at and injured them. The injured people were rushed to the DHQ Hospital. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
MAN KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed and another injured in a road accident at Gaggu Chak near Talwandi Khajoorwali on Thursday.
Khurram and his cousin Aitzaz were coming to the city when their car overturned due to overspeeding. As a result, Khurram was killed on the spot while his cousin was injured. The injured man was shifted to the DHQ Hospital.
Man held from airport for travelling on bogus visa

GUJRANWALA: A man was arrested for travelling on a bogus visa at the Sialkot International Airport.
Nabeel was trying to travel to Sharjah from Sialkot on bogus documents when the airport authorities arrested him. Later, he was handed over to the FIA Gujranwala for further investigation. Meanwhile, a team led by FIA Assistant Director Muhammad Sarwar arrested a proclaimed offender from Mandi Bahauddin. The team raided the house of PO Naveed Iqbal and arrested him. He was wanted in a fraud case.
