MANSEHRA: The sub-national governance programme launched jointly by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Planning and Development and Finance departments is all set to introduce computerised financial management systems to end discrepancies and ensure the effective service delivery in Hazara division.
“Initially, we are going to introduce the computerised financial management system in three tehsils of Hazara division to end discrepancies through effective budgeting and better service delivery,” Tariq Alvi, Director SNG programme, told a seminar organised by the Aawaz district forum here on Friday.
Former lawmakers and representatives of local governments and non-governmental organisations and journalists attended the event.
Tariq Alvi said the computerised financial management system was being launched in Mansehra, Balakot and Haripur tehsils from the next fiscal year.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahibzada Jawad Alfaizi, the managing director of Saibaan Development Organisation, said that steps should be put in place to curtail tax evasion and ensure delivery of civic services.
