Islamabad: The Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) is building its Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa office in Peshawar and work on it has entered the final phase.
PAL Chairman Dr Yousuf Khushk visited the project site along with renowned writers of Pashto language and literature Dr Abasin Yousafzai, Engineer Dr Zakaullah, Khanum Gulzeb, Aziz Ijaz and Rifatullah Rifat.
Project officer Latif Khan, assistant director Khan Badshah Nusrat, civil and electrical engineering team of the works department briefed him about the project and ongoing work. The writers praised the PAL chairman for showing interest in the promotion of KP languages and literature. Dr Yousuf Khushk said the project was in the final stages of completion.
"As soon as work on the auditorium and guest house is completed, a full range of provincial, national and international literary activities will begin in Peshawar," he said.
