Cop suspended for breaking into citizen’s house
A policeman was suspended on Monday for breaking into a citizen’s house in Qayyumabad on Friday, when a clash had taken place between two groups.
Police said Madadgar 15 officials had reached Qayyumabad after receiving information about the clash, adding that the cops were trying to handle the situation when an unidentified man snatched a pistol from Constable Imad Akbar.
Police said that following this, more officials were called in from the Defence police station, adding that when more officials had arrived on the scene, Akbar broke into Abdul Malik’s house and took three people to the Defence police station.
Police said that an investigation into the incident found the constable not only guilty of breaking into Malik’s house but also negligent in the case of carrying his official weapon, following which he was suspended.
