ISLAMABAD: Distinguished broadcaster and former director general Radio Pakistan Nayyar Mahmood was remembered on her first death anniversary here on Sunday.
She passed away last year after a protected ailment as she had been suffering from renal disfunction. She was the spouse of former federal secretary Syed Anwar Mahmood and mother of yet another impressive broadcaster Syeda Madiha Mahmood, who works for a US broadcasting house in Washington.
Late Nayyar Mahmood did her Masters in Journalism from the Punjab University with distinction. She was among the brilliant students of the university. She used to write for English and Urdu newspapers before joining the Radio Pakistan.
