Islamabad:The 52nd meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) which is scheduled to be held on June 29 will take up PC-I of elven development projects costing Rs15.53 billion for approval.
The meeting to be presided over by the CDA Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed will also be attended by officials from the Ministry of Interior and the Planning Commission.
The meeting will approve Rs4 billion PC-I of covered car parking to provide car parking spaces in the urban commercial area and solve the parking problem with the implementation of a car parking management system. The projects will be completed at different commercial locations in a period of two years.
The Rs186.394 million PC-I to purchase the medical bed and other medical facilities for 100 bedrooms in an additional block of CDA Hospital is also on the agenda of the meeting. The PC-I of Rs57.40 million for rain harvesting for ground water recharge which includes the provision of 100 inverted wells and 20 piezometers and Rs185 million project of construction of a bridge on Kiani Road from Quaid-e-Azam University to Bhara Kahu are also on the agenda.
Other projects include PC-I of (1.685 billion) for development of remaining infrastructure in Sector D-12 and construction/Development of remaining pockets in Sector D-12, Islamabad and Rs1.705 billion projects for grade-separated arrangement at intersection of 9th avenue and Khayaban-e-Iqbal for signal free flow of traffic at Shaheen Chowk.
The meeting will also take Rs1.472 billion PC-I of Grade separated arrangement at intersection of 11th avenue with Khayaban-e-Iqbal. This project will provide for improvement of traffic flow and safety on Khayaban-e-Iqbal by the signal-free intersection of 11th Avenue with Khayaban-e-Iqbal. The Rs36.25 million PC-II for Traffic Management Solution to enhance vehicle mobility and safety at various locations of Islamabad will also be considered by the meeting. Another project to provide for the construction of offices of districts at G-11/4 is also costing Rs1.432 billion is also on the agenda. The Rs1.8 billion PC-I for construction of litigants facilitation centre for litigants and lawyers at G-10/1 and Rs3.5 billion PC-I for enhancing the biodiversity, plantation/green cover, water shed management, and natural resource of Margalla Hills National Park will also be taken up for approval.
