GUJRANWALA: A man was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Green Town. Tauqeer was present near the gate of his house when two unidentified motorcyclists came and opened fire at him. As a result, he died on the spot.
CPWB TAKES 14 KIDS INTO CUSTODY: Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) team Friday took 14 more children into custody from different parts of the city. According to CPWB public relations officer Khurram Shahzad, during a rescue operation in Shaheenabad, Sui Gas Road, Model Town, Sheranwala, Pasrur Road, Satellite Town and Nowshera Road the CPWB teams took Asad, Matti Ullah, Owais, Hassan, Shaheer, Saleem, Zeeshan, Abbas, Ali Haider and others into custody and shifted them in the bureau centre.
NINE ACCUSED HELD: Baghbanpura police Friday arrested nine accused and recovered stolen cash, drugs and illegal arms from their possession. On a tip-off, the police teams arrested accused Shahzad, Shahzeb, Masoom, Naeem, Saleem, Sarfraz, Amir, Azeem Babar and Muhammad Naeem and recovered 1,540 gram charas, 10 litre liquor, Rs 27,000 and illegal arms from them.
YOUTH COMMITS SUICIDE: A youth committed suicide over domestic issues in Gakhar Mandi on Friday. Reportedly, Abu Bakar, 27, was working as a clerk in a shop and was upset over domestic affairs.
On the day of the incident, he was present at the shop where he attended a phone call and killed himself with a pistol.
