LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department has issued a notification about formation of juvenile justice committees in all districts. According to the official documents available with the reporter, offices of these committees would be set up on the court premises.
These committees will be responsible for deciding cases of juveniles, sent by the police, prosecution, and the courts, in a month’s time, carrying out inspection of the observation homes, and supervising the work of in-charges of reformatories, performing the task of juvenile criminals’ welfare, training and their integration into society again.
