Zone-I beat Zone-VII in KMC-KCCA tournament

KARACHI: Zone-I overcame Zone-VII by four wickets and Zone-VI defeated Zone-IV by five wickets in the Division-II matches of the KMC-KCCA Inter-Zonal Under-17 Cricket Tournament Division-II here on Tuesday.

Zone-VII were bundled out for 193 in 39.3 overs. Sabih Siddiqui (64 not out), Usman Siddiqui (46), Ahmed (26) were the leading batsmen.  Kaleemullah claimed a four-wicket haul. Sohail Khan picked up three and Mushtaq took two wickets.

Zone-I chased down the target with six wickets remaining. Umair Yousuf smashed nine boundaries and two sixes in his blistering knock of 100. Basit made 29. Alam took 2 wickets. Umair was named the man of the match. 

In the second match, Zone-IV scored 197 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted overs. Mehwar (49), Mubashir (25) and Hassan (24) were the prominent scorers. Uzair grabbed three wickets for 30 runs.

Zone-VI reached the target for the loss of five wickets. Nafay produced a match-winning innings of 67. Hyder Ali (55) also batted well. Jibran Ahmed took two wickets. Nafay was declared the man of the match.
