SUKKUR: Five people including four women committed suicide during the past 24 hours in different cities of
Upper Sindh. A 22-year-old girl Ganga, d/o Ramo, committed suicide following a domestic dispute in village Punhal Junejo near Peeromal in district Sanghar. Similarly, 20-year-old girl Seeta Kolhi also committed suicide in village Darghah Lalo Sharif in district Matyari.
In yet another tragic death, a nine-month pregnant woman Lashmi, w/o Bhoojo Kolhi, committed suicide due to domestic problems in Nagarparkar, district Tharparkar. The parents of the deceased said that Lakshmi was hard pressed of being constantly maltreated by her husband. According to Jacobabad Saddar Police, a married woman Reshma, w/o Muhammad Ali Machi, committed suicide in village Baqa Pul after consuming a poisonous liquid following a domestic spat. In yet another reported suicide, Jeevan Kumar, s/o Leemo Mall, also took his life after failing to marry the person of his choice in Kunri district, Umarkot.
