Arbab Rahim slams PPP for victimisation
SUKKUR: Former CM Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said the PPP-led Sindh government has turned the province into a police state, as never before so many FIRs were registered against the rival political workers in Tharparkar.
While addressing a press conference at Bhattaro near Nuakot in district Tharparkar, Arbab Ghulam Rahim accused the PPP Sindh government of serving drug dealers instead of working for the people. He said children are dying in Thar, while the PPP MPAs and MNAs are enjoying late night parties. Rahim said crimes including dacoity, kidnapping for ransom and drug supply are widely taking place, but in the last 12 years, the PPP government has only registered FIRs against political opponents and indulged in massive corruption. He said kidnapping cases were being filed against his party workers in Tharparkar and termed that the entire province has been turned into a police state. He said they were passing through tough time as the political victimisation is increasing day by day. The former CM also criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying they are PTI allies and supported the PTI candidates in by-elections, now it is PTI’s responsibility to take care of its allies, but he is of no help. He said Imran Khan had pledged to eliminate corruption and corrupt mafias but he had done nothing so far.
