TAKHTBHAI: Provincial chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Senator Maulana Attaur Rahman has said that the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had failed on fronts.

“The federal budget is anti-people as no relief provided to the common man and investors while it will be followed by many mini-budgets and heavy taxes on petroleum products,” he said during his visit to Darul Uloom, Shergarh on Wednesday. JUI district chief Maulana Muhammad Qasim, Maulana Amanat Shah Haqqani, Maulana Qaiseruddin, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and others were also present.

Maulana Attaur Rahman said that the government had made life hell for people due to the skyrocketing price hike of essential commodities.

About the ruckus in the National Assembly during the ongoing budget session, he said it was regrettable and added that the opposition parties had a right to stage protest but the treasury benches must be patient and tolerant enough to listen to their complaints and redress them.

The senator alleged that the government was adamant to take control of the madrassas at the behest of their foreign masters but they would never be allowed to fulfill their nefarious designs.

“Religious seminaries are the strong fortresses of Islam and no one can harm them in our life,” he vowed.

The JUI leader said that the upcoming public meeting was giving sleepless nights to the rulers.

He called upon the party office-bearers and workers to expedite the campaign for the successful public power show to be held on July 4 in Malakand division.

He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement was fighting for the rights of 220 million people “The fake government has only caused destruction and rendered millions of people jobless,” he said, adding that the PTI government had defamed Pakistan all over the world.
