MoU inked for vocational education, training of students
Islamabad : Punjab Public Relations Department and Air University Islamabad have reached an understanding to conduct training sessions for vocational education of students.
The signing ceremony was performed in the presence of Vice Chancellor Air University Vice Air Marshal (r) Javed Ahmed and Director Public Relations Punjab Hamid Javaid Awan, Director Student Affairs Fazaila Ali.
Director Academic Air Vice Marshal Retired Tariq Matin, Director ORIC Air Commodore Afzal Ahmad Khan, Deputy Director Public Relations Muhammad Owais, Assistant Director Placement Sabah uddin Qazi were also present on the occasion.
Chancellor Air University Air Marshal (r) Javed Ahmed said that training and equipping the young generation with high quality education is also one of the responsibilities of universities as a national duty. "We are committed to this with sincerity. It is very important that we make full use of our resources and support and assist the government of Pakistan in every possible step towards national development," he said. He said that the MoU would provide practical training opportunities to the students in their respective fields. Vice Air Marshal (r) Javed Ahmed said that in the current situation, awareness of authentic information is an important task and the role of Information Department is prominent in projection of Punjab Government.
Director Public Relations Rawalpindi Division Hamid Javaid Awan while expressing his views on the occasion said that they are striving for effective media management with the help of technology and DGPR Saman Rai is committed to bring the department in line with modern requirements. He said that the students of the present age who are acquainted with the latest technology of IT have high creative abilities and there is a need for them to have full opportunities to express their abilities.
He said that for this purpose the Directorate General of Public Relations Punjab is establishing working relationships with various universities under which students are offered internship programs in Media Management, IT Based Technologies, Social and Digital Media, Computer Sciences, Public Relations, Marketing, Project Management, Social and Economic Development and so on.
