LAHORE: Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has praised the completion and inauguration of the new building of the Punjab Assembly.
While commenting here Monday, Aleem Khan said that the credit for the new building of the Punjab Assembly went to Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi who took a personal interest in its completion. Senior Minister said that due to the deliberate negligence of the previous rulers, the new building of the Punjab Assembly was unnecessarily delayed and it was totally to stay in limbo for 10 years.
He added that this also resulted in bearing the additional financial burden of billions of rupees, excessively on public exchequer. He said that this huge government's money could have been spent on other public welfare projects. Aleem Khan said that Wazirabad Cardiology, Dialysis Hospital in Multan and many other projects were also delayed because they were started by the previous government in Punjab. He said that the development initiatives started by any government would not be delayed at any cost and these projects should be completed at the earliest as it was the people’s money of which every penny should be spent meticulously.
‘He said the government was completing all the ongoing projects under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan as the government believed in early completion of every development project and was doing real welfare work which would have a lasting impact on the country's development.
