LAHORE:The Punjab government has specified Rs26.63 billion for the development of Local Government and Community Development (LG & CD) in the next financial year 21-22, out of which Rs7.36 billion have been fixed for the development schemes of South Punjab. As per the budget documents, Rs11.83 billion have been earmarked for 194 ongoing development schemes and Rs14.80 billion for 929 new development schemes. Under the head of ongoing development schemes Rs8.64 billion for four foreign funded projects, Rs589.08 million for 29 miscellaneous schemes, Rs651.911 million for 30 regular schemes, Rs1.11 billion for 109 local development programme, Rs280 million for two model cattle markets schemes, Rs140 million for four Walled City of Lahore Authority development projects, Rs59.430 million for one solid waste management scheme, Rs331.45 million for 13 improvement of graveyards development projects and Rs25 million for two development projects of public parks and playgrounds.
