PTI leader, Pesco worker injured in attack

SWABI: A local leader of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) along with a worker of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) were injured when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on them, the police said.
Farman Ali, the PTI leader had been tasked with getting a power transformer installed to provide relief to the consumers. The PTI leader and Wahid Ali, the Pesco worker, were present at Mal Lara areas when suddenly two motorcyclists came and opened fire on them, leaving them seriously injured. They were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Doctors at the Bacha Khan Hospital Complex said they were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar because of the serious injuries they had suffered in the attack.
