3 arrested for killing moneychanger in Swabi
SWABI: Three members of a gang involved in the killing of a moneychanger were arrested on Sunday, a police official said.
District Police Officer Mohammad Shoaib said that Kamran Khan, the moneychanger, was killed in November last year. The gunmen had left the scene after snatching Rs5 million from him at the main bazaar in Topi tehsil in Swabi, he recalled.
The official said that the police launched investigations into the killing incident on scientific lines and succeeded in arresting the main accused identified as Mohammad Israr of Shahbaz Garhi area in Mardan
During the investigation, he said, the accused disclosed the names of his two other accomplices, who were also arrested. The accused were produced in the court and they confessed to have killed the money-changer.
