Ibrahim reaches tennis tourney final

KARACHI: Top seed Ibrahim Iltafat thrashed Dawar Rehan in straight sets, recording a 6-1, 6-3 victory in their semi-final of U18 singles event in PTF Development Series juniors ranking championship here on Monday at Union Club Tennis Courts.
In U16 singles event semi-finals, Hassan Farooq trounced Rida by 6-1, 6-2, while Amin Shafi dispatched Noor-e-Mustafa by 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 in a thrilling encounter.
In U14 singles event semi-final match, Osama Khan thrashed Farzan Ahmed by 6-3, 7-5.
In men’s singles semi-finals, Ibrahim dropped a set before beating Nazif Ahmed by 7-5, 4-6, 10-6. In the final, he will face Fahad Khan, who defeated Aqeel Shabir by 6-2, 6-3. In U12 event semi-final match, Farzan Ahmed overpowered Farooq Atiq by 8-2.
