Khursheed Shah files bail petition in SHC Sukkur Bench
SUKKUR: PPP leader and MNA Syed Khursheed Shah has filed a bail petition in the Sindh High Court, Sukkur Bench, pleading that he has been in NAB’s custody for the past 21 months but the Bureau could not provide any substantiated evidence against him.
Reports said the petitioner pleaded that the charges against him were not substantiated, and his detention was illegal until the charges were proven. They said the petition was filed to get Khursheed Shah released on bail. The court has sent the bail petition to the Chief Justice Sindh High Court for further proceeding and it would be decided that the application was valid or not. It is pertinent to mention that Khursheed Shah, who was in NAB’s custody in Rs1.23 billion corruption reference, had earlier filed a bail petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
