BAHAWALPUR: Commissioner Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Wednesday said 10.9-kilometer long additional ring road project was near completion.
Chairing a meeting of the Development Committee, the commissioner said Rs 1,142 million ring road project would ease traffic mess on main roads of the city.
The meeting was briefed that after the completion of the project some 8,000 to 9,000 vehicles use the road.
TWO WOMEN MURDERED: Two married women were murdered in different areas on Wednesday. Ghulam Nabi of Janu Wala told police that his daughter Shaista contracted court marriage with Muhammad Yusuf about one and half year and after the marriage her husband and her mother-in-law Naseem Bibi and others started torturing her.
He said on Tuesday they tortured her and administered poison to her.
She was referred her to Bahawal Victoria Hospital where she died. Police have registered a case against her husband, his mother and others.
