The third and most-lethal wave of Covid-19 forced a majority of companies to adopt the work from home model to avoid the spread of the deadly virus. Recently, unannounced power outages in different areas of Islamabad have made it difficult for people to work comfortably. As soon as power goes out, people lose their internet connection. Even though the government often claims that electricity generation in the country is more than the current demand, prolonged loadshedding across the country tells a different story.
Also, despite unannounced power shutdowns, consumers receive exorbitant power bills. The incumbent government needs to take action against frequent power outages and ensure that people are able to work from home with ease.
