LAHORE: The UN Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) has hinted at declaring Lahore as the family station for its international staff. Sources told the correspondent that the chief security advisor of the department Catherine Mackenzie met Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Momin Ali Agha the other day and discussed the security situation. She expressed her satisfaction on security and law, order situation in the province after implementation of the National Action Plan.
The UNDSS has its 10 offices in the provincial headquarters, two in Multan and one in Sialkot. The international staff of the department had left Lahore few years back over security concerns. Catherine Mackenzie had visited Lahore to get information about the current security situation in Punjab.
